I didn't like the new art as much as the old one, and I liked the lighter-oriented storyline more too.

This one reminded me of racial tensions e.g. black-whites racism and people who dated among these conflicts.

Hell yeah decapitations!

Great game! I had way took much fun wasting my day playing it over and over trying out all the abilities and different hirelings. (and owning every single place :D)

The Good:

Each nation has a "hard" spot with special units, e.g cavalry.

It didn't get terribly repetitive. There are enough units to make it interesting.

Decapitations are SW33T! I kept chuckling every time I saw a head flying across the screen!

The Bad:

I know the whole gold-flying-through-the-air thing is cool but its a pain in the arse having to run back and retrieve it only to get ambushed by more enemies! Next time please just have gold deposited on kill >.<

Minions are ANNOYING! Their always running the wrong way, flirting with each other or just messing around when you are dying. OR they are getting themselves killed while your collecting gold.

Please please please PLEASE!!! Make the bosses look different from other types of units! The first time through I was like "Hmmm, epic music playing. A boss must be near!" Then I get mauled by normal swordsman #7 that looks like a normal swordsman but does over 9000 damage!

I found it was really frustrating that you couldn't choose which ability you used if you got multiple attacks that used the same buttons. I.E. having a move+stab forward+attack and a double-attack forward+attack the game would randomly choose between the two of them. Plus you couldn't unlearn a less useful ability when you bought a more powerful one.

There is a hilarious death-animation bug that if a unit dies just as its attacking it continues out the attack! So theres occasionally decapitated people shooting arrows or poking you with a sword before their body crumples over. I couldn't resist laughter when a headless guy kicked me as his head watches while in orbit at the top of the screen; or a bandit jogs 20 feet before flopping on the ground!

I found the heroes to be pretty freaking unbalanced. :-/

Ellder is great at dancing around and not getting hit, but aside from his one forward+decapitation move he sucks balls at killing stuff. I constantly found that I would get overrun if I tried dancing around poking guys with jumpy attacks. The problem with Ellder is he just does crappy damage. Either make his attacks faster, his jump-movements faster or him do more damage.

Aldon has some great attacks. I had a ton of fun using his defensive attacks to protect javelin throwers and let them wreck stuff. Despite being less nimble than Ellder hes a ton better at killing stuff and has no trouble smashing faces.

Toldor is just badass. Yeah Ellder can decapitate guys on the occasion and Aldon can one-shot some guys with his shield-bash+stab attack but Toldor is the living incarnation of the Severed Head God! Toldor is by far the best hero. He does so much damage and his reach is deliciously long. I found I used his normal attack and didn't even bother using any forward+attack's because they weren't worth it.

The Ugly:

Trolls wear PINK!!! UGHH!!! Come on! if you were a troll wouldn't you wear something that doesn't declare your homosexuality? Maybe plaid or neon-green? Hell if their gona wear pink just have all the troll spearmen carry banners that say "fabulous"! -_-

The Demon Giant looks retarded. Seriously. He looks like a combination between a hornless Hellboy and Zippy the Pinhead. Please, make the final boss look scary, or at least cool!
